I really want to make and sell prints of my artwork.

I think that's what I want to do in life: work in the production and mass-production of artwork. I guess that's why I chose printmaking as my major.

I'll probably use Etsy as my selling platform. That's what I was planning to do with Etsy anyway - last year. I think other than DeviantArt's Print Shop, it's the place where I'll get the most traffic. With Etsy, however, I have to get my own prints done. Which means I can charge higher and get a lot more money in return for me :D Yes, I'm greedy. However, with selling art it will make it so much easier to get through and pay off art school, as well as put money away for, you know, LIFE.

One thing I vow never to do: draw characters that are still holding copyrights with their artist/creators. I can't stand how much people buy fan art. It's FAN ART. It shouldn't be allowed to be sold - and I'm pretty sure it isn't technically allowed anyway. I mean, I'm not hating on fan artists, definitely not. There is amazing fan art here on DeviantArt alone, and I've fav'ed a lot of it. I've made fan art myself. I just don't understand how people can sell their fan art and not feel like they're stealing. No matter what costumes you put them in and how much you change their look, you're still copying someone else's creation which they still have the rights to.

Wow. Didn't mean to vent about fan art in this entry but it is relevant. To make the best money, I could easily start turning out awesome pictures of other peoples' characters. Half the work is already done for me, since I like to focus on the human form in my artwork. So really it's a matter of putting them into my own 'style' (also easy) and just generally making it look nice and interesting.

I should start sketching out some new ideas :D

P.S. if you guys actually like some of my artwork already in my gallery, you should totally tell me which ones and I will revise them and send it out to the printer :D

P.P.S. If anyone knows of any Canadian online printers, or any affordable high quality printers in Toronto, please tell me! I've been searching the internet and have only found iprintfromhome, an American online printing company that would cost me 18$ to ship here :/ which may be worth it when I have enough prints, but not when I'm ordering proofs.

Lol, I've been kicked out of the toronto lolita community...for never posting an intro thing because I thought I'd wait until I could write something more interesting :P Ah well - hopefully they'll let me in again in the future and I won't be labelled a creepy lurker forever...

How've you been doing?! I tried to think of something more interesting to tack on but the readily available options (school, the crap whether, etc) did not appeal to me.

I heard that lolita store in kensington closed down - which is too bad, I liked going there with my friends and trying on the $300 dresses, lol

That suckss.. I'm sure they'll let you back in if you have an intro post ready to go. I'm sure they're not like the elitist bitches all of EGL is perceived as :P

I've been pretty good.. a lot more busy now that I don't have school. Busy with things that shouldn't keep me busy (like shopping, wandering Toronto haha) but pssh it's how I relax. How've you been?

Yeaah in February according to So_Lolita.. I hope that person who posted saying they were going to have an actual store with brand clothing is actually going to do it. I actually bought a dress from Her Majesty :D It was probably half the cost of the Star Night Theater JSK they had :P which I tried on and I looked absolutely ridiculous in.. I think that dress can be considered OTT Sweet on its own haha.

Oh wait, I forget that I actually met you on that post. I feel astoundingly stupid now =p Ahem, nevermind all that, lol

Ooh, which one did you buy? I was looking at the Shirley Temple (or maybe it was ETC, I dunno, they're both kinda the same thing, no?) cupcake skirt...but didn't have a job at the time (lol, now that I do, I'm like...HEY, I EARN THE EQUIVALENT OF AN OFFBRAND/SECOND HAND NON-POPULAR LOLITA ITEM EVERY DAY) I tried on the Star Night Theatre jsk too! It was too big for me in the bust area, lol

I'm fairly certain they'll let me back in :p since my journal isn't all blank and creepy, lol (LIKE YOURS. Haha, just kiddin' :) )

I bought the red and black Metamorphose dress :D it's so awesome, and super simple. Haha yeah I wish I could spend my money on all that off-brand and second brand D: Soo many things I want.

I didn't even realize I seem creepy because of a black journal haha. I just don't use LiveJournal like that :P

Hey. Saw the kerfuffle on regretsy. I don't agree with all of the views you seemed to hold--but I DO admire the way you handled it. As far as I read, you were graceful and intelligent.

I totally understand. They're not the most well-rounded or thought out views, so I didn't want to seem as though I think everyone is wrong and should have the same view as me.

Thank you :)
