I really want to make and sell prints of my artwork.
I think that's what I want to do in life: work in the production and mass-production of artwork. I guess that's why I chose printmaking as my major.
I'll probably use Etsy as my selling platform. That's what I was planning to do with Etsy anyway - last year. I think other than DeviantArt's Print Shop, it's the place where I'll get the most traffic. With Etsy, however, I have to get my own prints done. Which means I can charge higher and get a lot more money in return for me

Yes, I'm greedy. However, with selling art it will make it so much easier to get through and pay off art school, as well as put money away for, you know, LIFE.
One thing I vow never to do: draw characters that are still holding copyrights with their artist/creators. I can't stand how much people buy fan art. It's FAN ART. It shouldn't be allowed to be sold - and I'm pretty sure it isn't technically allowed anyway. I mean, I'm not hating on fan artists, definitely not. There is amazing fan art here on DeviantArt alone, and I've fav'ed a lot of it. I've made fan art myself. I just don't understand how people can sell their fan art and not feel like they're stealing. No matter what costumes you put them in and how much you change their look, you're still copying someone else's creation which they still have the rights to.
Wow. Didn't mean to vent about fan art in this entry but it is relevant. To make the best money, I could easily start turning out awesome pictures of other peoples' characters. Half the work is already done for me, since I like to focus on the human form in my artwork. So really it's a matter of putting them into my own 'style' (also easy) and just generally making it look nice and interesting.
I should start sketching out some new ideas

P.S. if you guys actually like some of my artwork already in my gallery, you should totally tell me which ones and I will revise them and send it out to the printer

P.P.S. If anyone knows of any Canadian online printers, or any affordable high quality printers in Toronto, please tell me! I've been searching the internet and have only found iprintfromhome, an American online printing company that would cost me 18$ to ship here :/ which may be worth it when I have enough prints, but not when I'm ordering proofs.
